Celonis Continues High-Growth Expansion in the Nordics

Nordic growth spearheaded by the appointment of Michael Zink as General Manager - new Celonis offices in Copenhagen and Stockholm

November 02, 2020 – Copenhagen, Denmark – Celonis, the global leader in Execution Management Systems (EMS), continues its high-growth expansion with new office openings in Copenhagen, Denmark and Stockholm, Sweden. Celonis has recently appointed industry veteran Michael Zink as the region’s general manager to accelerate growth in the Nordics as well as in Eastern Europe and Russia.

Celonis is opening two offices in the Nordics in response to strong demand from customers for its process mining technology and its revolutionary operational applications, which sense business friction and provide recommendations for process optimization – all in real-time. The new locations will enable Celonis to get closer to its existing customers in the region, which include for example Maersk, Statkraft, Grundfos, Hydro and Neste.

Michael Zink, Vice President of Sales & GM Nordic & CIS at Celonis, comments: “We decided to grow our presence in the Nordics because of the talented workforce pool and the high proportion of digital native, progressive and forward-thinking companies in the Nordics. Since announcing my move to Celonis, I have seen an overwhelming amount of interest in the company – which simply underlines the pent-up demand for Celonis market leading AI-powered enterprise software in the Nordic region. We already see very positive feedback from customers, who appreciate how Celonis is making things simpler for them – and enabling them to do more with less. Through more efficient processes, customers' valuable resources are freed up for more innovative and creative tasks – helping them to achieve their desired business outcomes.”

Zink continues: “We have already built up a base of more than 15 core employees, but that’s just the start – short term we are looking for an additional handful of solution engineers and account executives plus an alliance manager and a customer success manager.”

This further expansion by Celonis into core European markets comes just weeks after Celonis announced its new international business hub in Madrid, Spain, to provide services to European and global customers and strengthen the development of its products and solutions.

On November 4 at the UK&I and Nordics World Tour stop of Celonis, you can hear from senior leaders from Celonis customers such as Vodafone and Neste Corporation how they leverage Celonis to identify and address execution gaps and increase the execution capacity across the entire enterprise.
