Celonis awarded with Corporate Finance Award

PwC and Börsen-Zeitung honor successful corporate development in the 'Digital' category

Celonis, the market leader in AI-enhanced Process Mining and Process Excellence software was yesterday awarded the Corporate Finance Award 2019 in the category 'Digital' by PwC and the Börsen-Zeitung. The jury, chaired by Claus Döring, editor-in-chief of Börsen-Zeitung, honored the company’s successful development and its latest financing round of $290 million, which brought Celonis’ valuation to $2.5 billion last year.

Celonis' technology enables the data-driven pursuit of strategic corporate goals, the detection of frictional losses in business processes on the basis of intelligent algorithms and artificial intelligence, and the implementation of appropriate measures to optimize workflows for the desired business outcomes.

The Corporate Finance Awards have been presented by Börsen-Zeitung for ten years, and for four years in cooperation with PwC. The organizers honor transactions or capital market measures that are particularly outstanding in terms of corporate strategy or financing with awards in seven categories

"We are very pleased about this award, which honors our rapid and very successful development in recent years and our Series C funding last fall. This funding is of enormous strategic importance for us and enables us to consistently pursue product innovation and global expansion and further strengthen our position as the market leader," says Bastian Nominacher, Co-CEO and co-founder Celonis.

Due to the Corona pandemic, this year's award ceremony took place for the first time in a virtual event with all award winners. The motto of the discussion round was "A new normal - what happens after the crisis?" CEOs and CFOs of last year’s winning companies such as Merck, RWE, Wintershall, TeamViewer, Celonis, KKR and AMS discussed the current situation as well as opportunities and risks for companies during the crisis and beyond together with PwC and the editor-in-chief of the Börsen-Zeitung.
