Celonis Appoints Philippe Mathieu as Go-to-Market Leader for EMEA
MUNICH and NEW YORK, September 12, 2023 - Celonis, the global leader in Process Mining, today announced the appointment of Philippe Mathieu as Go-to-Market Leader for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) as well as Latin America (LATAM) and Asia-Pacific (APAC).
With more than 25 years of experience in the enterprise software industry, both in fast-growing start-ups and large multinationals, Mathieu will focus on driving Celonis’ expansion in EMEA, a region he was previously responsible for at Palantir and Oracle.
Celonis has a strong presence in Europe, with customers who are household names such as ABB, Anheuser-Busch InBev, AVNET Europe BV, Bouygues Telecom, Caixa Geral de Depósitos, Companie de Saint-Gobain, Delphi Technologies, Deutsche Lufthansa AG, LyondellBasell Industries N.V., Merck KGaA, RATIONAL AG, Siemens AG, Uniper SE, Vetter[1] Pharma, Vodafoneand more. As the new Go-to-Market Leader for EMEA, Mathieu will work closely with new and existing customers as well as Celonis partners to help them unlock the potential of their processes.

Mathieu comes to Celonis from Palantir Technologies, where he served as President EMEA. Prior to that, he worked at Oracle for more than 15 years, most recently as Executive Vice President of EMEA and JAPAC. While there, he was responsible for overall sales and P&L for Oracle business amounting to $16B in revenue. Mathieu has also held senior management positions at US-based enterprise software companies such as Hyperion Solutions, PeopleSoft, Commerce One and Sybase.
Mathieu’s appointment comes shortly after Celonis was named a leader in Gartner’s® first-ever Magic Quadrant for Process Mining Tools. The report catapulted process mining into c-level consciousness and placed Celonis highest in both axes, Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision. In collaboration with its customers and partners, Celonis continues to advance the category, most recently with the market introduction of Object-Centric Process Mining, an innovation providing new perspectives into how businesses run, next-level process intelligence and intelligent automations.
