A Day in the Life of a Celonaut: Nour Medini, Associate Consultant

At Celonis, every day brings new opportunities to learn, grow, and collaborate with incredible colleagues from around the globe. Today, we take a behind-the-scenes look into a typical day for Nour Medini, an Associate Consultant in our Madrid office and part of the Galaxy Program. 

How do you start the working day?

"Hi! My day usually starts with a shower and breakfast. After breakfast, I like to spend a little time reading a book and planning my day. It helps me focus and get in the right mindset before heading to the office.

I’m lucky that the Madrid office is so close to where I live, it’s just one metro ride away. The commute is super easy, and I always enjoy that little bit of downtime."

What’s your typical morning like in the office?

"When I arrive, I usually catch up with colleagues. Today, I had coffee with Michael, and we talked about our summer vacations and the countries we visited. It’s always fun to hear what everyone’s been up to.

After that, I check my emails, look over Slack messages, and review my calendar to see what’s on the agenda for the day."

Any exciting projects you’re currently working on?

"Yes! Today, I had a big customer presentation. We were showing how we use Celonis and machine learning to help improve order predictions. The customer was really happy with our progress, which made it even more exciting.

This was also a milestone for me, it was my first customer presentation involving machine learning use cases. As part of the Galaxy Program for Associate Consultants, moments like this are such a great learning experience."

What’s the Galaxy Program like?

"The Galaxy Program is amazing! It’s a one-year program for entry-level consultants to learn everything about Celonis, our tools, technology, and how we work with customers.

We also get to collaborate on different projects, work with consultants from other offices, and even travel. It’s been great getting to know my fellow “Galacticos” from places like New York, Bangalore, Munich, and London. One thing I love is how diverse the group is, many of us speak multiple languages, and we get to learn so much from each other."

Any highlights during the day?

"Today, we celebrated the graduation of Galaxy Cohort 1 in the Madrid office. It was so inspiring to hear them share their experiences from the past year and celebrate their achievements.

We had speeches from senior leaders, some amazing food, and, of course, champagne. It was a great opportunity to network and learn from Cohort 1 as they shared advice with us."

What do you do during breaks?

"We have a really cool terrace at the Madrid office, so I love spending my breaks there. Today, I played ping-pong with a friend and treated myself to some delicious (and gluten-free!) ice cream from our office ice cream station."

How does your workday wrap up?

"After the Galaxy graduation event, I went back to my desk to wrap up a few tasks and check in on some ongoing projects. Once my work was done, I walked home, it’s such a nice way to unwind after the day."

A recent graduate of the Galaxy program, she is passionate about working with data to uncover insights and solutions. In her free time, she enjoys visiting new cities, exploring different cultures, and baking homemade treats.
